To access YouTube’s content management tools, you need to be a YouTube Partner. This means you need to meet YouTube’s requirements for monetization, which include:
- Having at least 1,000 subscribers
- Having at least 4,000 valid watch hours in the past 12 months
- Adhering to YouTube’s monetization policies
Once you’re approved as a YouTube Partner, YouTube creates a Content Manager account for you. This account is separate from your individual YouTube account.
Here’s how to access your Content Manager:
- Sign in to YouTube.
- Click your profile picture.
- Select “Switch accounts.”
- You’ll see a list of the accounts you have access to. If you have access to a Content Manager, the account name will appear in the list with “Content Manager” below it.
- Click the Content Manager account. YouTube will switch to that account.
Alternatively, you can use the channel switcher to easily switch between your channels and your Content Manager.
Important Notes:
- Content Manager is a web-based tool. You can’t access it through the YouTube mobile app.
- Content Manager is only available to YouTube Partners. If you’re not a partner, you can only manage your channel through YouTube Studio.
- Content Manager gives you more control over your channel’s content and rights. You can manage multiple channels, upload content, control monetization, set branding, and more.
If you’re not yet a YouTube Partner, focus on growing your channel and meeting the requirements. Once you’re approved, you’ll have access to all the powerful content management tools YouTube has to offer
